Family Activities in and around Dewey

  • On Mondays in the summer in Dewey Beach - family movies on the beach which start at dark just north of our place.

  • On Wednesdays in summer in Dewey Beach there is a bonfire on the beach which you can bring your beach chairs and smores supplies and enjoy.  It starts at 7:00pm and is also just north of our house on Dagsworthy (see Town of Dewey website for info)

  • For our Quillen Rd Guests - Community has access to Thompson Island State Park via a bike/hike path one street over from Quillen on Bay Rd.

  • At the Cape Lewes/May Ferry dock – there is a nice playground plus there is a great little restaurant you can eat lunch and enjoy the ferry going in and out (as well as a great selection of local craft beers.)

  • Cape Henlopen State Park is $10 to enter per car but provides 2 hours of free use of bikes and helmets for both adults and kids.  It also has a cute (but very small) nature center and nice playground as well as an 18 hole Disc Golf Course.
